After growing up in Los Angeles, CA, Dr. Arnold Lee graduated magna cum laude in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University. His undergraduate research included working with Wally Gilbert, a Nobel laureate, on cellular aging and DNA repair. He then pursued the NIH funded combined MD-PhD degrees (Medical Scientist Training Program) at New York University School of Medicine. His PhD dissertation consisted of a combination of studies in tyrosine kinases pivotal to cancer development as well as myosin phosphatase critical for normal eye formation. Dr. Lee’s internal medicine preliminary training and dermatology residency were at New York University Medical Center and the world-renowned Bellevue Hospital. He also completed an ACGME accredited Dermatology Procedural Fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, the training of which includes Mohs microsurgery, laser, and cosmetics. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed basic science and medical journals and is an attending physician training Mount Sinai dermatology residents at Elmhurst Medical Center in New York.
