Dr. Schwarcz is double board certified in cosmetic surgery, oculofacial plastic surgery and ophthalmology and is one of only 500 surgeons to the American Society of Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He is a diplomat of both the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Schwarcz is devoted to providing high-quality patient care and achieving “natural-looking” results by utilizing the latest technologies and techniques.
Dr. Schwarcz is a native of New York and attended the City University of New York in the combined BS/MD program. He completed his residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn followed by fellowships in Los Angeles with the Jules Stein Institute and Cosmetic Surgeons in Beverly Hills. During these fellowships he focused on cosmetic and surgical reconstruction of the face.
Currently, Dr. Schwarcz is the Director OculoFacial Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center. He has written/contributed to numerous medical articles and lectured on the international circuit. Dr. Schwarcz was recently featured on “Larry King Live” for his work in the facial reconstruction of a girl mauled by a mountain lion. He also participates in mission trips to Latin and South America performing clef lip and palate repairs in disadvantaged youths.
